About US
Ontario Conservation Corps is a program that provides youth with meaningful employment and training in environmental and cultural heritage conservation, restoration and enhancement of Ontario.
Our Goals
- To assist young individuals, acquire skills in leadership, teambuilding and employment by connecting them with high impact opportunities.
- To work with partners and communities to conserve, restore, enhance and sustainably develop Ontario’s natural and cultural resources.
- To develop and actively encourage a powerful enhancement, preservation and protection ethic in Ontario.
Engaging Young Canadians
The Ontario Conservation Corps breaks the barriers youth face in gaining meaningful skills, and employment while also building their knowledge, increasing self-esteem, and connectedness to their communities.
We believe in strengthening the community through youth participation. Youth are the backbone of the economy and should be regarded as important. They need to be actively involved in interacting with people and opportunities that are available to them in their environment.
Youth should be engaged as communities create services and opportunities that are beneficial for their development and growth. Engaging youth under the Ontario Conservation Corps program also prepares them to be active citizens.
